The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) is accepting the application for Master and PhD. SEARCA Graduate Scholarships aims to ensure the relevance and responsiveness of Southeast Asia’s agricultural scientists and professionals to global sustainable development issues.
As of the start of Academic Year 2020-2021, SEARCA has granted a total of 1,737 scholarships to nationals of SEAMEO member countries, namely: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam to pursue advanced studies leading to master’s and doctoral degrees in agriculture, forestry, and related sciences. Eligibility for SEARCA Scholarship
The SEARCA Graduate Scholarship is open to nationals of SEAMEO Member Countries ( Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam) who are regular employees of academic, research or government institutions and not more than 35 years old at the time of application.
Proposed thesis research should focus on SEARCA’s overarching theme of inclusive and sustainable agricultural and rural development (ISARD). Moreover, priority research topics must fall within the ISARD strategic thrusts on social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and cross-cutting concerns.

Application instructions
Interested parties may submit their accomplished SEARCA Scholarship Application form together with other original application requirements to the Ministries of Education/Higher Education of their respective countries. Applicants are requested to check from their respective Ministries of Education/Higher Education for their deadline of receiving applications. Deadline for the Ministries to send endorsements to SEARCA is 31 July of every year.
