The NOMIS-ISTA Fellowship Program is open to all research fields supported at ISTA. If the specific interdisciplinary expertise needed for your proposed research is not available at ISTA, you can propose an external secondary supervisor. This external supervisor can provide a secondment of up to three months per fellowship year.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must have been awarded their PhD within 8 months of the application deadline and ideally have initial postdoctoral experience and/or interdisciplinary training.
  • The fellowship selection panel will consider all outstanding candidates, even those who fall outside the typical criteria.
  • Internal applicants must not have been employed at ISTA for more than 12 months by the application deadline.
  • Top-ranked candidates from the initial evaluation must be available for a remote interview approximately 9-12 weeks after the submission deadline.
  • If successful, the fellowship must commence within six months of notification.
