MOFCOM Scholarship 2024 – China Scholarship [Fully Funded]

Applications are now open for MOFCOM Scholarship 2024, run by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). This scholarship, set up by the Ministry of Commerce of China, helps people from developing countries to study for postgraduate degrees. Since 2015, it has supported young and middle-aged students from these countries.

The scholarship is for master’s and doctoral degrees and offers financial help. Master’s students get Stipend 36,000 RMB per year, and doctoral students get 42,000 RMB per year. Eligibility for Master & PhD

  • Applicants must be non-Chinese nationality in good health.
  • Must be an International Student out of China, or graduates of Chinese universities are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
  • Excellent performance in study.
  • Applicants should have good ability in scientific research
  • To be eligible, you must be a citizen of a developing country other than the People’s Republic of China and be under the age of 45.

Step by Step How to Apply MOFCOM Scholarship 2024

Step 1:

Visit or and click on “Application Online for International Students”.

Step 2:

Read the “Tips for online application” carefully before clicking “NEXT” to access the registration page.

Step 3:

Log in with your username and password. If you’re a new user, click “Create an account” to register.

Step 4:

Fill in the correct Program Category and Agency Number. The Agency Number represents the specific application receiving agency, and choosing the right Program Category is crucial before entering the Agency Number. Ensure accurate entry; otherwise, your application may not be accepted.

Your ‘Program Category‘ is Type A, and the ‘Agency Number’ is 00010. Once you enter the correct ‘Agency Number’, the agency’s name will automatically appear.

Step 5:

Complete the Online Application Form and upload the required supporting documents accurately and completely following the steps provided on the left side of the page.

Before selecting majors, applicants must choose a discipline. If uncertain about disciplines and majors, refer to the Disciplines Index available for download under Help.

Step 6:

Review each part of your application carefully before submission. Click “Submit” to send your application.

Step 7:

If needed, you can make changes to your application by clicking “Withdraw and Edit the Application” at the top of the page. After making changes, be sure to resubmit by clicking “Submit”. Failure to do so may render the retrieved application invalid, and the new application won’t be received.

Step 8:

Download the completed Application Form by clicking “Print the Application Form” and print two hard copies.

Step 9:

Prepare the additional supporting documents as required and send the complete application package (both hardcopies and scanned copies) to the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office (ECCO) of the Chinese Embassy.
